The 5 th Saudi Endodontic meeting of the Saudi Endodontic Society was held in AlFaisaliah Hotel, Riyadh (29-31 March 2016) in collaboration with the Dental department at Prince Sultan Military Medical Center.

The keynote speakers were;

  1. Prof. PN Ramachandran Nair who gave two lectures entitled " Will Root Canal Treatment Heal Radicular Cyste?" and " Endodontics Today and Tomorrow is on the Horizon". In addition, he runs a successful workshop on Primary and Post-treatment Apical Periodontitis .
  2. Prof. Martin Trope gave a compelling talk on Biologic Endodontics with the Final Restoration in Mind . In addition, he delivered good workshop on New Era in Biologic and Conservative Endodontic Treatment: 3D Instrumentation & Bioceramic Obturation .
  3. Prof. Arnaldo Castellucci talked about Microsurgery: Its Indications and Contra-indications as well as workshop on Micro-Endodontics and Microsurgery .
  4. Dr. Gopikrishna V who gave very informative lecture on Irrigation Dynamics: What we Think and What is Reality .
  5. Dr. Muna Al-Ali presented two lectures entitled " Regenerative Endodontics: A New Paradigm" and " Fracture files Dilemma: Prevention and Management".


Two young researchers win the late Dr. Afaf Al-Nasser prize

  1. Dr. Mohammed S. Alenazy ( Endodontist, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia) research entitled: Micro-CT and Radiographic Evaluation of Dental Pulpal Revascularization in Perforated Dog's Teeth Using Platelet-Rich Fibrin.
  2. Dr. Nuha Al-Ghamdi (king Khalid University, Endodontic Department) research (Case Report) entitled: Pulp Revascularization of Immature Maxillary First Premolar
