Molar Endodontics often present challenges to the clinician. These may include difficulty in isolation, and access, negotiation of curved and narrow root canals, calcified canals, difficulty in obturation and managing anatomical variations. However, many advances in technology, materials, and equipment have made it possible today to efficiently perform successful molar Endodontics treatment with more precision and predictable results.
A one day course includes lectures and hands-on workshops specially designed for dentists who to wish advance their clinical skills when performing molar Endodontics was held at king Abdulaziz Dental Center, Ministry of National Guard, Riyadh Saudi Arabia during the 26th Saudi Dental Society International Dental Conference (13-15 January 2015 [(22-24 RABI'I 1436H)] Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia). The course was given by Khalid S. Al-Fouzan, BDS, MSEd ( Diplomate, American Board of Endodontics , Associate Professor, at King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences. Riyadh, Saudi Arabia) and Mansour M. Al-Rejaie, BDS, MSEd ( Diplomate, American Board of Endodontics Assistant Professor, at King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences. Riyadh, Saudi Arabia).
The course aimed to teach the participants how to do a molar root canal treatment from start to finish in curved canals. Without a doubt, this course will help you master molar Endodontics.
Upon completion, every participant will be able to:
- Enhance his/her knowledge of clinical concepts of molar micro-Endodontics
- Successfully treat difficult molar endodontic cases
- Apply system-based approaches for treatment
- Approach molar micro-endodontic treatment with more confidence and more predictable results

- Challenges encountered with Micro-Endodontic treatments
- Modern concepts of Molar Micro-Endodontic treatment using state of the art technology including Nickle -titanium technology, Microscope Enhanced Endodontics and Modern concepts of Root Canal Obturation.
- Step by step hands -on based training including life clinical demonstration & orientation to the Microscope.
A life case scenario of Non-Surgical microendodontic treatment of A mandibular left second molar was included in the afternoon session of the workshops and was life broadcasted to the participants to closely observe and overcome the challenges of such a procedure and in order reach the ultimate goal of excellence in Endodontic treatment.
